Welcome to Edward's new webpage.......

Following the sad passing away of canine Edward, and by popular demand, the Directors of "Jamming With Edward" are pleased to present to you the new "digital" Edward, and to keep him company, his banjo strumming friend Fred "Boogie" Bassett. They will be only too pleased to try and answer any questions that you might have (see our Feedback page), with a little help from their human friends, Marc and Jonathan.

Who was "canine" Edward ?

"Canine" Edward was a lovely English sheepdog rescued by Steve and Chris Keane, from the old English sheepdog rescue society. They adopted him back in 1987, at about the same time that the current shop opened. He soon acquired the nickname of "the Boss", who quite literally knew how to throw his not inconsiderable weight around ! He lived to the grand old age of 14 years, passing away in 1994.

Why was "digital" Edward created ?

"Digital" Edward came about as the result of much "soul searching"; as to how best both honour the memory of "canine" Edward, whilst at the same time re-creating the free thinking spirit of this "real" music lovers company.

Why was "digital" Fred "Boogie" Bassett added ?

The ether can be a really lonely place at times, so we thought that having a "digital" friend for Edward, especially one who can also "jam", would be a nice idea.
